Brahmakumaris Rural Wing celebrated National Farmers Day and also felicitated the progressive farmers in Rajyoga Bhavan.The Guest Speaker Prakash Chand Director of Agricultural projects addressed the farmers saying that Brahma kumaris have been educating the farmers on the methods of perpetual yogic agriculture through which many of the farmers have been benefitted. He also mentioned that Brahmakumaris have also been conducting many programs for the welfare of the farmers from time to time. The District Coordinator of Brahmakumaris Rural Winging bro.BK Prahlad shared his practical experience that Rajyoga Meditation along with traditional organic farming helps to increase the fertility of the farming lands. This helps us to yield pure organic rice and fruits and vegetables. Bk Aparna from Brahmakumaris Kshatriya centre has addressed the farmers saying that purity of thoughts comes from pure food.She said that farmers have to be self confident and prosperous to have a nation strong and developed. Brahma Kumari Ritu didi gave the farmers an experience of Rajyoga Meditation. Bk Ram lakshman pledged all the farmers to use perpetual yogik methods in farming.Many progressing farmers have attend this program and visited the model of vegetables that have been grown using the yogic agricultural methods on the terrace of the same building.

A seminar on Role of Science and Spirituality was organised at National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack. Principal scientists from Crop Improvement Division, Genetics, Agronomy, Soil science, Microbiology, Biochemistry and Agriculture Economics have participated in this program. This seminar was chaired by the director of the institute Dr. Himanshu Pathak. BK Sumanth, Hq. Chhattisgarh Agriculture Minister Inaugurates Farmers Empowerment Campaign, Raipur ( Chhattisgarh ).

The Agriculture and Rural Development Wing of Rajayoga Education and Research Foundation, Brahma Kumaris inaugurated a ‘Farmers Empowerment Campaign’ at Shantisarovar. It was inaugurated by Ravindra Choubey, Honorable Agriculture and Water Resources Minister of Chhattisgarh.

Honorable Minister Choubey, in his remarks said that positive thinking and Sustainable Yogic Farming can definitely empower the farmers. The state government of Chhattisgarh and its agriculture scientists will extend all help to this campaign by the Brahma Kumaris. The traditional tribal communities of Chhattisgarh follow sustainable farming practices only. Yogic Farming is the future of agriculture.

BK Sarla, Chairperson of Agriculture and Rural development wing of Brahma Kumaris, said that this campaign is aimed at empowering the farmers and improving their economic condition. Under this Rajayoga Meditation technique and Sustainable Farming information will be given to the farmers. They will also be encouraged to get rid of substance abuse.

Dr. S.K. Patil, Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Agriculture University Raipur, said that excessive use of fertilizers and pesticides is depleting the soil. Organic manure which is self manufactured along with chemical free pesticide use is the need of the hour.

BK Atam Prakash, Editor of Gyanamrit from Mount Abu, said that India is still an agricultural economy. It is time that ways and means to grow pure food are explored and encouraged.

BK Kamla while welcoming everyone on this occasion, said that without spiritual development of the masses, real progress cannot take place. Today, the farming sector is in need of attention and assistance.
